Why Does Laurel Celebrate Pride in October?
Laurel has lots of options for nearby Pride celebrations in June. Annapolis, DC, and Baltimore all have well-established and fun festivals. Hosting Laurel Pride in October gives us an opportunity to recognize LGBTQ+ History Month and extend Pride celebrations beyond a single month. Having a local family-friendly Pride allows us to celebrate our LGBTQ+ community members and their allies.
